Mission Statement
The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership skills by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body.

Membership Requirements:
Membership is voluntary for students in grades 9-12. However, any member who misses 2 meetings will be removed from the roll.
Benefit of Joining:
Student leadership provides opportunities for community involvement and to learn skills that can be transferred to the workplace and/or community. Students can learn about the importance of community involvement by being a student leader and joining Student Council.
Membership Dues:
Student Council dues are $10 per year ($5 per semester)
Fundraising and Other Activities/Community Service:
The main Community Service activity of Student Council is the Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit the Central Food Bank. Others are No Shave November to benefit Wounded Warriors, and Back the Blue Volleyball Tournament to raise funds for Angel Armor (protective vests) for local law enforcement. STUCO also sponsors the Veterans Days Program, Thanksgiving Turkey Grams and Valentine Candy Grams to raise money for various activities, including Christmas gifts for a local Veterans Home and Teacher Appreciation gifts.
Service Hours:
Each member of STUCO is required to have 5 Community Service hours per year.
